The inspiration for our company's name came from Hindu and Buddhist mythology. Known as the Daughters of Pleasure, Hapsari were goddesses of the clouds and waters. Originally human women, priestesses of the sacred sexual rites in twelfth century Asia, Hapsari were highly educated and known for their intellect, taking lovers, both human and divine, as they pleased. They were women of great beauty and elegance who wore beautiful, sensual garments and magnificent headdresses, adorning themselves with aromatic flowers and celebrating life. We believe that every woman deserves to feel the touch of these goddesses of love, for sensual enjoyment can significantly transform our attitude toward ourselves, our attitude to others, and life in general, bringing renewed beauty, vitality and a feeling of being alive.
